Balsam Fir, our most popular and fragrant tree. This is the traditional Christmas tree of the Northwoods. Dark green in color, with long-lasting needles, it is beautifully cone-shaped.

Fraser Firs require much fertilization and two extra years to grow, hence the higher cost. They are dark blue-green in color and have excellent needle retention. This factor makes it the favored choice for those who like to put up their tree very early in the season.

After considering dozens of tree plantations, she narrowed her sources to a few small to medium-sized farms. Aware of the economic plight of the family farm, Gayle offered these farmers a premium price for their best trees. The appreciative farmers reciprocated by giving her first choice of their trees to tag for harvest, now awaiting your orders to cut. Almost one million trees were considered, yet less than 0.25 % were selected and tagged. Rest assured, you will find no better tree anywhere, as Vermont means quality.
